Day 1 went really well. I wasn't too hungry. I drank a ton of water. Even more than was suggested. I probably drank 12 - 8oz glasses. That's a lot of water!!!
Last night, I made an omelette for me. It was actually decent. I used 4 egg whites and put turkey, spinach, onion powder and garlic in it. Then I topped it off with a Tbsp of salsa. I made scrambled eggs for the kids. Those looked really yummy. Then my hubby got home and I made an omelette for him. HOLY COW was I tempted to try his. I used regular yoke in eggs, salt, pepper, all the other stuff that I put in mine, but I used CHEESE on his. Man, that looked like a good omelette. He said it was yummy. I'll have to make one for me at another time! Of course when I can have all that stuff, I bet the omelette isn't going to look as good!
I have to say, after yesterday, I am a HUGE fan of the Mega T Green tea capsules with acai berry. I also took a B-12 vitamin and had energy ALL day. I only took one green tea capsule in the morning. I was actually a little hyper all day. That hasn't happened for awhile. Usually I like to nap sometimes when the baby is, but I didn't even think about napping all day. CRAZY!
I'd like to report that I lost a HUGE amount of weight after the first day. But, I can't. I did lose maybe a pound. A little disappointing, because I tried really hard and I feel like I didn't eat much, and what I did eat was very healthy. And I exercised. But, I know this takes time, so I'm patiently waiting! I know I shouldn't weigh myself everyday, but I can't help it! It keeps me motivated. Ok, that being said, I'm going to set myself a goal that I will not weigh myself until Thursday morning. I can skip one day, right?
You will start to see the weight come off real soon. And in this first week or so, it will come off quite quickly. You could lose 10 pounds or so just in this first week. Then it will taper off to a couple of pounds a week. But don't worry, it will happen. You just need to get your body used to having to switch out where it gets its energy reserves from.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds a lot like a basic low-carb diet. I'm surprised that cheese isn't allowed. I give myself at most three servings of dairy a day, plus two fruit servings.
Also, do yourself a favor and make sure you're getting plenty of fiber in your meals. I learned the hard way that the ediets.com meals I'm getting don't (apparently) contain enough fiber. I give myself at least one salad a day.
ReplyDeleteSalad is about all I'm eating! Cheese is allowed later in the diet. The idea is to confuse your metabolism. I figure I'll lose the most in this first phase and then it will taper off. I'm ok with that. I really just want to change the way I'm eating. Thanks for your support!
