Losing motivation. The only thing worse than a diet, is not losing weight on a diet. Come on!! I'm down maybe another 1/2 pound today. I think I've lost 2 1/2 pounds this week total. I guess that's a typical amount to lose though, but it's still very discouraging. Especially since today is Friday. I like to eat stuff on the weekends. Like I was thinking, oh it's Friday, maybe tonight we can have a pizza night. Then it all came flooding back to me. Sigh. I like pizza.
So, I had the berry smoothie again this morning. I actually had the banana and pb one yesterday. It was great till I realized we're aren't supposed to have bananas yet. Oooops. And I'm pretty sure the pb is a no-no.
My friend had a great idea though. It's hard to eat veggies just plain, but dips are out. Unless..... they are made from the yogurt! Who knew? So, she tried mixing an onion soup packet with the yogurt and said it tasted really good! I'm going to try that today and eat my carrots and celery. I'll try to update how that goes.
I went on a walk yesterday with 2 of my kids and one of their friends. It wasn't a really fast walk, but we walked for about 40 minutes or so. It's something! Tomorrow is my 5k and I don't think I'm really ready for it. I know I can do 2 miles, we'll see about the rest. I actually don't feel like I'm in the right mindset, either. I kind of don't care. Like I said, my motivation is dwindling. :( Not sure how to get it back at this point. I should be happy that I'm doing something wonderful for my body, like eating well. All I see is the poptart that's staring me in the face. Mmmmm poptarts. They aren't really even that good. It's just forbidden.
Don't give up I need you to stay motivated so I'll want to try this diet. You can do it! Ra ra ra, there did that do the trick?
ReplyDeleteIt must have done the trick, cuz I'm still going. Carrots and celery dipped in plain yogurt mixed with onion packet. mmmmm. Ok, I'm kind of lying, but it's not terrible.
